rock ness 2007 lineup

Rockness is this weekend, so who's going? I've got a couple of VIP tickets and I'm heading down on Friday night (only 100 miles away). :D

I'm only really going down for the chemicals but it should be a cracking weekend.

The line up has expanded considerably, the Manics, The Charlatans, Levellers and The Feeling.

i had to pull out of this because of lack of money at moment :/ too much stuff happening this month


you have too report back here on monday with reviews of chems and daft punk :D
first show of DP the tour so am interested in how its changed from the one last year that i dont think can even be beaten

id say seeing erol alkan and 2 manydjs is a must too, no festival is complete without em

am sure it will be great

i think i'd probably have rather worked this over download this year having just seen the lineup now, however i cant work either due to commitments with my day job, which is a bit rubbish
wouldnt of minded being paid 150 odd a day to be there

Going to be there. Can't wait for the Brothers and Daft Punk. Tight squeeze in the tent though eh, 10k capacity? :eek:

It's only Daft Punk in the tent on the Sunday. Chems are on the main stage on the Saturday.

Chems - very good
Daft Punk - OMG! Possibly the best set I have ever seen! They came on 45 mins late but they still played their full 1.5 hour set, they seemed to really enjoy it too and were applauding the crowd for ages etc.

They took the sides off the tent for Daft Punk as I think they realised there was going to be a problem as three hours before they came on there was a queue about 200 to 300 yards long!

any chance of any more info on daft punks set? are you at all familiar with the 2006 sets? I want to know how different it is... if at all!

there show last year was easily the best thing ive ever seen/heard , be damn hard to beat it !
 
Daft Punk were amazing, I was going to give them a miss because of the huge queues but I turned up 10 minutes before they were on a walked straight in, :eek: took me another 30 mins to get through to the front. I've never seen anything like it, the crowd went nuts and the guys were lapping it up at the end. I'm not good at remembering details but they opened with Robot Rock and played Around the world, Alive, Rollin & scratchin, technologic, one more time, Musique (I think), Da Funk was near the end, possibly last and they did a version of one more time for an encore. It was a lot better (and harder) than I was expecting and the light show/pyramid thing was amazing.

edit: The Chemical Brothers were excellent too, played tracks from all their albums, I've got some video of Do It Again i'll stick up.

Not the Rockness festival, but I'm going to the 02 wireless festival this Sunday with Daft Punk headlining, I can't wait! :D :cool:
