Rolf Harris dead

The thing that really stuck with me was the absolute lack of remorse he showed in court when he was given his sentence, came across like a complete sociopath.

Rot in hell.

Saw him at Glastonbury one time in one of the smaller tents, absolutely brilliant, such an entertainer and the place was about 50 deep all around the tent. Playing Robbie Williams Angels on the wobble board was just inspired and there was nearly a riot to get him to come back for an encore lol.
Similar thoughts here. Saw him at the UEA in Norwich Was meant to do 90 minutes, did 2 1/2 hours... Then hung around for another couple of hours chatting, taking photos and signing autographs. In my collection of terrible singles I have a copy of Rolf doing Bohemian Rhapsody signed and with a Rolfaroo... It's really, properly bad. :D

Hard to argue with the general sentiment of the thread. At least, unlike Saville, he paid for his crimes.

Yet, Rolf Harris was part of my childhood and I feel strangely sad at the loss of a figure who, I guess, never really was.
I sort of a agree with that as well

He obviously was a monster who should have never been allowed to get any where near children but at the back of my head he was always someone I used to love watching on tv when I was little . It does make you question some of the things you were brought up with. (reminds me of michael jackson )

This whole ordeal with him being found out really sucks for us older peple :(

Actually joked a long time ago, that when discussing who would be the next big Paedo and saying there's no way Rolf would fiddle around. How wrong could I be?

I remember joking about Saville, and how Britain was the kind of country where a man could sit a lad on his lap and makes his wishes come true on primetime TV. Jeez, that aged badly.

I'm not sure how popular he was in Australia. But I remember telling an Australian friend of his conviction and she had a similar reaction to how some in this country had about Savile. She didn't believe me at first. Then later she was in shock.

Harris is an example of the urge that some have in a position of power when they think nobody is looking.
