Rolf turning out to be a nonce was the worst one of all for me. Used to really like him when I was a kid. Never even suspected him if of anything like that.

Same. He was a part of my childhood and I was so disappointed and shocked when I found out.

I met Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris when I was a child and my mum worked at the BBC. I also played multiple gigs with the Lost Prophets in the early 2000s

I just checked Rolf's Wikipedia page and it said that he died on the 10th May, nearly 2 weeks ago.

Turns out it was flipping true so someone did actually know well before today. That's actually mad, but also raises the question of why they have only released the details.

Yeah, my friend used to work at a hospital and they take the dead bodies to the morgue to be stored in refrigeration, all those people will know and they'll talk lol.

Hard to argue with the general sentiment of the thread. At least, unlike Saville, he paid for his crimes.

Yet, Rolf Harris was part of my childhood and I feel strangely sad at the loss of a figure who, I guess, never really was.

All the stuff Saville did was only mentioned a few months after his passing.
