Just a heads up on this program coming on sky sports 1 at 8pm-9pm on thursday (8/9).

Looks pretty intersting. At one point they cross the ball into him then turn off the lights and he has to imagine where the ball is and try and score in the dark.

In a unique hour-long film-documentary, Castrol EDGE Presents 'Ronaldo Tested to the Limit' which sees the star player’s skills, strength and agility taken away from the pitch and into a high performance lab. Where the world’s leading sports scientists use the latest technology, to test him in a series of challenges that show exactly what gives Ronaldo the edge.

if the ball played into him is floated in, that would be quite easy to do. judging the flight path and get into position.

if it is crossed in with pace, then most likely impossible unless they switch off the lights 2/3 seconds before it reaches him.

They should have done this to Messiah and then i would have watched it.

He can be as quick and strong as he wants but he will never surpass Messi, rarely if ever turns up in the "big" games yet is lauded as the best ever because he racks up his goal tally against the likes of Betis/Mallorca/Getafe etc etc

Messi is consistent every time.

Yeah, he is same size as me (5 foot 7) and his skill is amazing, I can only dream of being as nimble as him on a football pitch , hooking up a 6 foot guy to some monitors and watching him smash a ball is hardly great viewing.

Good job he never proved himself in the premiership banging in 40 or so in a season. he never showed up at arsenal..or in the champions league. Bayern Munich. champions league final perhaps?

Likewise at absolutely no stage do people ever wonder where Messi is for Argentina or anything.

Messi does have bad games, but not many, Ronaldo dissappearing? Barca are WAY ahead of Real and the only time Ronaldo dissappeared was when Mourinho decided to play 9 behind the ball and Ronaldo 60 yards up the field from anyone else against 4 defenders and a DM, all by himself. In the recent games he was very good, and he had a couple outstanding performances in the final couple games last year aswell.

Messi doesn't go missing often, because he has the best team in the world around him, end of the day, Barca create so many chances that just require a tap in that even on a bad day Messi will still get a tap in, and on a great day he'll take on 5 players himself. If they switched teams, Messi would have far more bad games, and Ronaldo would have less.

Ronaldo is better than Messi at some things and vice versa.

You dont see Messi scoring many free kicks or even taking them for that matter.

Ronaldo is more effective in the air and as a target man.

Ronaldo can shoot from outside the box.

etc.

Messi just has insane ball control, skill, pace and movement.

Ronaldo is the better all rounder i would say.

Stick Ronaldo in Barcelona's team and he would outscore and out assist Messi.

We don't need another Ronaldo/Messi debate :/

Ronaldo's a fantastic player in his own right. He's also an utter **** though :p

For someone who failed to turn up in the big games he had a bloody good scoring record against your lot, like most things City though if it didn't happen in the last 2 years then it didn't happen ;)
