Ronnie O'Sullivan 146 shenanigans

Snooker's a game not a sport. Those other names you mention have physical prowess, that's the difference.

Sullivan is a damaged man that can hit balls with a stick very well. I think he's a bit of a bell end, but then you can't deny his useless talent has made him millions.

Can't be that useless a talent then can it?

You mean just like tiger woods strolls around a course and hits balls with a stick?

Didn't he say that he would rather let it roll over and give someone a chance at winning a better amount? Doesn't seem like such a terrible thing to do...

He gave about half a dozen slightly different responses about why he passed up on a 147 break, maybe he was trying for the option that appeared to be least bad in the eyes of the public? That was certainly one thing he said but (somewhat paraphrased) he did also variously say that the money wasn't enough, it didn't merit a 147, he's got a bit of a devil in him so was bored and wanted to stir things up, he was thinking about giving the money to charity, no one should be disappointed at seeing a 146 and also that people should be thanking him for the publicity plus as Ding Junhui actually managed a 147 everyone got what they wanted eventually plus there was the controversy from his actions.

I suspect the most accurate assessment would be that he felt like causing a bit of excitement and that he did object to the cash reward not being 'sufficient' so he's trying a few justifications because he's not 100% sure why he didn't do it.
