Rooney out for a month.....

Rooney's single handedly got United to where they are in the league and Champions league this season and without him for any length of time they can kiss both goodbye.

Sorry, forgot to mention with a little help from Own Goal :p

Man Utd are still in with a chance, everything will rest on how well they cope against Chelsea and Bayern.

No Rooney is a huge blow but there is a very solid back four, a midfield which is decent when it plays well (unlike last night), and Giggs/Nani/Valencia who can support/supply Berbatov who, when he plays well is one of the best strikers around.

Unfortunately Berbatov playing well, will be the crucial point this coming week. (Provided the Midfield don't fail like last night) :p

Why are people worried? United have the totally world class Berbatov to lead the line for us till Rooney is fit.
I'm sure with his disgustingly good first touch, sublime passing skills and superb finishing, that he will do a first rate job of filling in for the overrated Rooney, who doesnt score enough goals anyway.

I think with no Rooney the league is still there for us but the CL will be a real challenge.
Looking at your fixtures you could have to play Chelsea at home, Blackburn and Man City away and possibly Spurs at home without him. That's not an easy run of games at the best of times but without your main goal threat I can see you dropping 5 or more points.

We've no shortage of players that can score goals though. I'm not expecting us to get 12 points from those games by any means but I wouldn't be panicking- we have a fit back four for the first time this season and that's a good platform to build on.

I think Rooney has been fantastic and without him for a long period (like RvP) they would have struggled over the course of the season but with only a few games left I don't think it'll affect them too badly

Time for berbatov to show us what he's made of. I can see chelski just nicking it on saturday now. Praying for a draw!!! (Arsenal fan ;))

not actually been confirmed how long hes out i dont think but his ankle is all strapped up and the injury itself has been confirmed. certainly gonna miss chelski and 2nd leg game this coming week.

Berbatov has been brilliant in his last two games when he's played the lone front man, ok so Wolves and Bolton away and nowhere near the level of opponent at Chelsea or Bayern but we're at home in both of those games so hopefully Rooney will only miss Blackburn away as well as the next two games

It is looking a little suspect though all this Fergie will reveal the extent of the injury tomorrow business, looks like it could be more serious than first feared......

It would not surprise me at all if he was out for 6 weeks. I've already prepared myself for the worst case scenario, anything different is a bonus. I also hope Fabregas hasn't really broken his leg as that would surely end his world cup dreams.

If he's out for a whole month, he'll miss the following games and be back around the Sunderland game time. He'll also miss both legs of the semi final of the CL should we beat Bayern at Old Trafford and progress. ****!

Man Utd v Chelsea
Man Utd v Bayern Munich
Blackburn v Man Utd
Man City v Man Utd
Man Utd v Tottenham

Sunderland v Man Utd
Man Utd v Stoke
