rough morning

its almost 3 months sinse sid died today,so we put a water fountain where he's buried and watched the birds drink out of it,he used to watch the swallows fly around the lawn, did't chase them ,just watch them,he also liked the water,so its fitting

Damn I remembered what this was a soon as I saw the title, one of the hardest things to read. Hope you and your wife are healing mate.

just found out today that our second dog jaz has cancer, she has lost a lot of weight in last 2 weeks
did tests, will know better in a week, vet said not looking good, wife taking it very hard,we have to decide if we put her to sleep now or when, wife wants to wait till after xmass as she doesnt want to remember jaz like that at xmass
to lost 2 dogs in less than 6 months is bloddy hard
at abit of loss, these dods where treated like kids and family which makes it harder
having great luck

Really sorry to hear that.

Whilst its a hard decision to have to make its best to end it humanely before the dog starts to suffer. If they have already lost a lot of weight that time might be now.

Also its quite sad seeing a dog go downhill. Our old dog very rapidly went downhill (also cancer) and it was so sad to see all the spark gone from his eyes for those last 2 weeks before the vet suggested that he was put to sleep :(

aw mate I'm so sorry. :( Fingers crossed you won't have to take that step but if you do, remember that it's the greatest act of love you can show an animal - you endure all the pain and the hurt of losing them so that they don't suffer.

Went through a similar thing last year and am thinking of you and your wife xx

I have a dog and cannot imagine what you or others are going through. I really cannot.
The pain must be no different to loosing a human. I am sure like my dog you treat the animal as though it was human so to loose it would be earth shattering to say the least.

I feel for you and your family, i really do.

While I understand this is a very hard time, surely your wife doesn't want the dog to suffer anymore than it has to just to ease her own pain through christmas?

So sorry for you dude, you must feel guilt and all kinds of nasty emotions :( . My dog (had him for 14 years!) is due to sie any day now. Horrible feeling.
