router connection help!!

yup, got an ip there, 192.168.1.64

To add to that, once your computer has a dynamic address look for the default gateway. This is the address of the router because not all routers have the same address (192.168.1.1) like you said in the first post.

Nothing at the moment, think I need to create a new connection on the broadband part of the networks page. Present one is trying to use WAN mini port...

no, you shouldn't need to do that at all.

Basically it only goes like this

Computer > LAN PORT > Ethernet Cable > Adsl Router > World

There is no other configuring needed to be done to access the routers configurations page.

Got there, at last :D

Thanks a lot for all your help, and more importantly patiance.

Once again, "Thanks!!"

Thats to come this afternoon. I ordered them a Linksys as I have an AG241, which I know how to set up.

Once you recieve the new router all you can do is connect it and it will work now everything is enabled.

Many regards,
Andrew
