Roy Keane retires

Happy retirement. Even though i'm an arsenal supporter and always have been, it's sad to see the last loyal die hard non cheating footballer in the premier league retire.

very true, was a brill player for man utd gave 100%, just a shame sometimes his temperament got the better of him. A winner none the less!

I was going to post a video of Roy Keanes non cheating behaviour, but there is too much swearing in it. :D

It's a shame he's had to retire, definitely one of Manchester United's best players. Impossible to replace. Good luck Roy.

No matter what he achieved he was a dirty git that should've been banned.

A gifted player, a very important player for his clubs, but someone I'll never respect.

Aye, what he did to Alfie, then to gloat in his face afterwards.

Going to get flamed for this (but Im a liverpool fan so you can let me off) He was a good player, and a great leader, but no more than a good player for me, a bit overrated. Happy retirement to him, and I'm sure he wont be anywhere near utd in the future, I think He'll want to stay as far away as possible as long a fergie is there anyway.

A good player but also a complete *****. He should have retired a couple of seasons ago really as he's been totally crap recently and getting a weeks rest after every game by whisky nose as he's if an old age pensioner. He was never that good and if the FA had balls they would have banned him for three seasons after that tackle on Haaland and fined the **** £5million.

I hope to see him at Old Trafford in the next few years, because no doubt he'll now finish his coaching and get his badges and qualifications. He was the best player I had seen at Man Utd in my 24yrs on this earth. Ultra competitiveness often drove him over the edge and I can understand opposition fans not liking him much. The reckless challenge on Haaland was the highlight of that season for me. I'm sure if the incident was the other way around there wouldn't be so much commotion between fans. The Keane vs Vieira incident in the tunnel at Highbury showed how much he thought of the team and also showed Vieira up to be the coward he was and still is. Good luck Keano with the rest of your life and soon to be management career. :)

A fine player in his day, one of the best ever in the PL.
Now he's retired he'll have much more time to concentrate on disappearing up his own ****, and I hope he succeeds:)
