Trust me, it is a myth that any crime in the UK carries a capital punishment.
As somebody else said, it has been what, 40 years since somebody was last hung.
The last technicallity was removed from the books in around 1990.

So in theory right up to 1990 (or there abouts) in theory you could be that isn't the case any more.

The IOM is not part of the UK. The last capitol offence in the UK was treason in in a time of war, although other weird ones like smoking in a RN dockyard were removed at the same time.
