I personally would like to go to powerstation as i ran previously on there rollers and would like to see what effect my modifications have had using the same rollers to get an accurate representation of any possible performance increase.

I need to get my 328i on the rollers asap, as has been suggested already, it seems a vote on the venue is the best solution... PS is the more central location, but not the best value or facilities. Surrey RR is a bit far for me, but if its going to mean a greater turnout i will probably come along.

If we're not happy with PS because they're being twits and we're not happy with Eurospec because apparently it'll make a longer journey for "most people", why not see if there is something a bit more central (ie Midlands area) where they actually want our business (vis-a-vis Eurospec). The thread seems to be obsessed with these as the only two options?!?

I have no suggestions of course. But then I can't hide from the fact I like the idea of Eurospec seeing as it saves me 200 miles / £40 in fuel.

How about Thorney motorsports? Based in Milton keynes they charge £35 a run plus they get a sandwich van come at 13:00. :P

You really are keen to only drive 10 miles this time, eh? ;)

I beleive its being organised by Invader_Gir, so best not over from him.

Yes fox 10 miles is the deciding factor for me, nothing to do with the numerous people posting they would not travel as far as the other option. ;)

From reading this thread it looks like it could be one of three people organising this however none of the three have posted an update in nearly a month.

I am all for not upsetting people but how long are we willing to wait.

But there are also numerous people who claim they wont attend if its PS but will attend if its Eurospec. People like NickXX, PeterNem, etc etc. People who used to be regulars at the RR days right from the start but have lost interest of late. People we'd like to tempt back.

Well looks like we wont please everyone, I can see this either turning into two RR days or a southern RR meet. Shame.

It's only an extra hour from PS though, whats an extra hour when your spending pretty much the entire day there?

My thoughts exactly, sure PS is mighty convenient for me, but I enjoy the day and it is a day out so no big deal if I have to drive a bit further.

My concern is that clearly the support you feel is there for PS simply isn't. I have attended every single RR day yet last years - the only one we had - was very quiet. A change of venue is perhaps needed to shake things up?

Otherwise we can hold it at PS but whats to stop it being you, me, that Rover416i guy who even turn up if it was held in Iran, and a couple of others like it was last time? It was a dismal turnout.

There seemed to be renewed enthusiasm when the location change was announced.

And this is what appeals to me - in an ideal world everyone would show up at Powerstation and I could get out of bed at 10am and still be there for 11am. But I'd rather trapse a few hundred miles and actually meet people than roll out of bed, cruise 10 miles and see about 9 people like last time.

Its not though, from Manchester its 130miles to PS, its 240 to eurospec.

How many attendees actually live in Manchester though? It's 220 miles for me - its not exactly a big deal is it. A day out is a day out, once you've commited the entire day to it does it really matter if its an extra 200 miles round trip?

Should I just start a new thread and organise a meet at powerstation just to put and end to this trauma?

this is usually the way it goes.

The RR days only happen when somebody stands up, organizes it and says "its here, on this day, deal with it" and gives everybody plenty of notice.

If you try and gather oppinion as to the best location, it turns out like the OcUK motors karting meet. Ie it never happens because everybody argues about which venue it should be.

So, they're fine to drive 30 miles-ish to Eurospec instead of the 100 miles to PS. Where members from the North have to drive 230 miles instead of the 150 miles to Powerstation.

Yeah, that's really fair.
