RTX 3070 > 2080TI?

My guess it's going to be somewhere between 90% to 100% of 2080 Ti performance. The big Q mark is what new features Ampere will bring & what impact those will have (if any/if any). I stack the predictions like this atm:

my gues is its going to be 50% the price of a msi rtx 2080ti lol tis £1500

Why not the 1070 was on par with the 980ti what would be different about this gen?
People seem to forget anything before Turing for some reason. The happened when Pascal was coming out anyway. People were like 1070 wont come anywhere near the 980Ti etc etc. I got the 1070 which had more VRAM and was much cheaper. Lol :D

+1

:p

I reckon Nvidia will continue moving it down a tier as 2080 =1080ti so 3070=2070S but with better RT performance. 3080=2080 Super but again with much better RT. They have no shame and have already proved they'll release a new card with less ram with almost identical performance for the same price two years later (2080=1080ti). That may well change once AMD show their hand.

Very wishful thinking. I bet good money 3080 = 2080Ti.
I thought his chart was pessimistic actually. Lol.

Zero chance of that imo.
