RTX3090 underperforming?

I've got some issues on my 3090FE with a heavily modded Skyrim VR having some big GPU stutters that didn't happen on my 1080ti. I'm hoping this is due to the Nvidia driver issue which is affecting VR games on latest hardware. Guess I'll find out with the next driver update which supposedly fixes it.

People have been complaining that nvidia drivers have stutter in VR for quite awhile now. Nvidia so far has not fixed the issue in at least 3 last nvidia driver updates.

I just built a VR sim rig for someone else (3080/5800X) and had to work through some compatibility issues between the G2 Reverb and the new rig.

Long story-short: Frametime variance on the G2 is worse than my G1.

This will probably improve with new drivers and/or a WMR/Steam VR update, but that's where things are right now in my testing with two different rigs. (Mine is 3080/3800X)

I wonder if the VR issues are being reported by G2 owners or owners of other various HMD's.

Nvidia say the next driver update will fix the main stuttering issue in Steam VR. There is another Steam VR stutter bug they're looking at which is apparently due to overlays which benchmarking and tweaking utilities use, but that won't be fixed in the next driver update.
