Rugby union?

I missed something there, what the hell did Marcus 'pretty boy' Smith do to earn a yellow?

What can I say about that performance from England?

Yes we could all be frustrated with Ben and his interesting calls but if your game plan relies on the ref getting 100% right then it’s not a game plan.

our defence was good for 40 mins, but had a lot of penalties which Ireland was smart they would have taken the points and left us behind.

Our attack relied on Marcus smith pulling something out of his arse and praying.

The limit was a easy to read disgrace, one catcher in itoje so it was no weapon for us.

But non of this is surprising, the premiership has been shown up in Europe as poor.(both top teams have been knocked out)

Borthwick has now got a a less than 50% win rate and I can’t see it improving in the next three games.

I expect another 4th place finish this year and something similar next year

Same old same old from England - fall apart once the 57 subs are brought on after 50 mins. Although the ref did them no favours and apparently has Irish ancestery.....

Borthwick is hopeless and needs to go - not sure how long the RFU feel they need to give him "developing the squad". A couple of his new picks were awful.

I don't think it's fair blaming Borthwick for these England results, especially when there are many around saying the standard of English players is poor based on the Premiership. If the Prem is as bad as many say, you could argue Borthwick is doing an excellent job managing to piece together a side that has managed to be competitive in games with the top ranked international teams over the past year.
Has he been fantastic? Probably not. But he seems to have got a youth filled side playing some much more exciting rugby than what we saw at the end of the Eddie Jones era.

I don't think England did a whole lot wrong overall. They just switched off a little whilst Ireland turned things up the second half. James Lowe is an absolute freak. If he's not first choice wing in the Lions squad I'd be surprised. I think the only "new" pick in the England side that didn't look great was Murley dealing with some of those long kicks, no idea what he was thinking there.

Everyone excited for the games this weekend? Should be good games throughout I think. I'm not sure England can beat France, even if it is possible on paper. I just hope they don't put 40+ points on us like 2 years ago...
