Right, just don't mention companies that sell PC compants. I.E, these are allowed;

Steam
Origin
Play
GAME
D2D
Greenmangaming
GoG
*Any other service that don't sell PC parts*

The reason this got so out of hand was that AceModder worded the first thread so completely appallingly that everyone got confused and since he did a runner it escalated.

Can someone explain the difference between the rainforests download service and steam in terms of competitiveness? :D

No you can have the games purchaser of OcUK. I have now cleared this matter up. Nothing has changed but no talking of the "new" Digital download service as it relates directly with another company who also sells our main cores to the business.

hahahahhahahahahahahaha *BREATHE* hahahhahshsahshahsasahsasahs *SNORT*

Really, you call this PR suicide clearing it up? Does the mass attention and cries for clarification look like a cleared up situation?

Correct. Someone has got it finally.

I don't see why the other thread wasn't worded as:

A quick reminder, if an e-tailer is offering a new digital service they are still considered a competitor by other products they may stock as well, such as specific hardware. Please remember our rules on the forum regarding competitors.

Note: this will not be for companies who run purely digital based games services or sell games exclusively.

Would have saved so much bull****. Honestly.

Considering all the fuss that has been generated by this (what has to be quite small) side of the companies sales today, I can see it causing more ill will than anything else and actually loosing you sales on hardware in the long run. It certainly makes me think a bit.

Not exactly handled it well have you guys?

Firstly everyone take a step back and calm down. This has got way out of hand. :(

The only thing that has changed is that the new digital download service from the rainforest cannot be discussed.

This would have been a lot cleaner if that was what the title and contents of that thread said. But it didn't.

Do you mind? Apparently we're only allowed correspondence with the games purchaser of OcUK on this matter. ;)

So we can talk about Steam as a distribution service but not the Rainforest as a distribution service? I figured we could talk about the Rainforest as a distribution service but not the ebay side of it as that part of it sells hardware. But OcUK sell games which might mean that the Rainforest DD shouldn't be talked about as that's competing with OcUK but then Steam should be banned from talk aswell because that is exactly the same?

This I don't have a problem with, but get it stickied ASAP?

Also, unban Neil, that was not fair. He is a great member in these parts.

Im sorry but what is different between the rainforests games download service compared to steam or d2d? Whats so special or should i ask what is so different it has caused this issue.

Actually you mention the download service ONLY is not allowed so the company can still be named i assume and talk about its other products like food, clothes, whatever (not pc hardware tho but anything else)?

I think we should but apparently not...
