The point is guys, the "rainforest" also sell components which is our main business. We don't want our own forums paid for by the owner to be used to discuss competition.

Yet OcUK remains my number 1 source for components. The "rainforest" (honestly ....) gets business for other things. You are not going head to head so what is the problem. This is getting out of hand. Do have someone employed in customer relations?

So why not ban all talk of all competitors? Dell, Apple, Acer, Asus, Samsung and so on? Why is the Amazon Kindle thread allowed? The competitor rule clearly doesn't work.

You are confusing a manufacturer with a competitor E-tailer. Whilst the Kindle is sold by a competitor, we could easily sell the same product.

The kindle is manufactured by Amazon and also sold by the store which is deemed competition.

The DD service isn't competition so that should be fine to post, but it isn't.

It could be one of many things which tipped it "over the edge" regarding being a "Competitor"...

If it is, someone made a **** job of communicating it and it all *** about face.

So you are going to delete the thread?

New DD service is banned because other parts of the owner are deemed OCuK Competition.

Talk of Kindle/AppStore et al is OK because other parts of the owner are deemed OCuK Competition.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Can you not see the confusion?

Put a STAR word out for that rainforest place, if anyone says the competitor it's instantly star'd out. Would stop it happening again, also star out ANY other competitors people mention.
