if Audi leaves WEC, it is more likely to go back to WRC than F1. would be interesting if they went for e-formula, hopefully develop that series w/ solid foundation, since F1 has lost the plot tbh

I can't see anyone in their right mind joining F1 at the moment, it's chaos. Until a new set of rules including the finance is settled it wouldn't be sensible. Leave the big 5 to sort it out and then the rest can start a sensible series.

Insiders say it will combine its WEC and DTM budgets, plus a Red Bull sponsorship package to try to make its mark again on Grand Prix racing..

Red Bull will sponsor another team to help them beat themselves?

If Audi go to a different motorsport - something I really don't expect - they would surely return to the WRC with the A1. BUT, the Polo and Fabia are both used there. Expect an R20 TDI Ultra Plus ++ diseasal to appear in WEC soon.
