Rumour Mill : Kim Jong Un could be dead.

You guys should watch the Devil’s Double if you haven’t seen it, based on this exact topic about a doppelganger for one of Saddam Hussein’s sons. It's an excellent film.

That's another of the Blu-rays I picked up for a quid in Poundland, might have to actually watch it.

I wasn't searching for anything - I read the news... you should try it some time, keep yourself a bit better informed. :p
Why would I do that? When I have good ole OCUK to keep me up to date on the worlds affairs :p

There’s absolutely nothing to show this is recent footage. It could have been from last year or even two years ago. It’s what they do best, Propaganda.

Keeping the people in check, showing the world they are not in trouble.

Regimes like these are all about saving face ,look at Iran/China and Russia.

There's images doing the rounds showing that this plant has been complete and operating for months.

It's an epic, hands down one of the most underrated films ever made. Dominic Cooper's performance is astonishing, how it wasn't even considered for an oscar is beyond me. Watch it, let us know what you think :)

For what gain?

Maintaining stability while the transition of power occurs.

I'm not saying that he is dead and it's all fake. I think that's probably not the case. I'm just answering your question of what would be gained by faking it if he was dead. "The king is dead, long live the king" only works for maintaining stability when the line of succession is clear-cut and uncontested. Succession must be sorted out before the previous ruler is dead, or at least before people know the previous ruler is dead.

^^^ this - pretty obvious that if he is dead then there is potential for some instability.

Seems like something has definitely happened internally - his sister is calling a lot of the shots, sudden change in direction on a lot of things, top government officials, some of them who've previously been fairly on the sidelines, making statements, etc. in a manner that didn't used to happen under Kim Jong Un.
