Hmm - so two weeks ago tomorrow I was run over by some stupid woman who swung across to the wrong side of the road. I had to have an operation to fix my elbow but it's still broken and I am still bruised and in a lot of pain.

That weekend I got pushed back by a girl who decided she just wanted to be friends. It upset me a lot more than I would have expected - I suppose I just really liked her and really wasn't expecting to get pushed back. I'll quickly move on from that.

Then today when I got back to my flat my bike was no longer there. My friends were like 'oh just go to a charity shop you can get a new one for like £20' and I just had to point out 'ok if your Mercedes was stolen would you go to the scrapyard and pick up some trashy banger?' - it was worth the best part of a grand.

Still on the plus side the compensation from sueing the fool who ran me over should pay for a new bike and replace the watch that got smashed in the accident!

The fact they all begin with R though makes me worry about my backside.

Sam

eeps, sorry to hear about your bike. was it not insured in any way?

oh and don't worry, bad things come in threes, so that's you done :p

You have had your three bits of bad luck, so get some scratchcards bought.

Hold it with your good arm and hold something in your teeth to scratch it off or something.

It was not. I didn't fancy paying £120 a year for insurance. I calculated(clearly wrongly since I've only had it here for 2 weeks) that there was less than a 8% chance of it getting stolen thus the policy wasn't good value.

Couldn't you have put it on your house insurance/ doesn't your house insurance cover it?

ouch, insurance is only a good idea in hindsight :(

bad things and threes - you're done for a while now :) hope the silly driver woman ponys up lots of cash for you, you unlucky git!

The girl was turned off by your horrific elephant-man-like injuries and worried that you wouldn't be performing any time soon. The bike was stolen because you have no use for it, as you won't be able to walk ( let alone ride ) for quite some time . So, really, only one bad thing happened to you. :p

You sound like a fella I know from work.

In the space of 6 months.

He got his GF pregnant 'by accident',
She finished with him (by pouring a pint over his head in a bar of over 200 people - then slapped him in the face)
He went out the next day and pulled out in front of someone in his car (who crashed into him and wrote his car off, then destroyed him with the insurance claim to repair her car - which was also written off)
He then moved to a different country a few weeks later to get his head straight - went on a bit of a bender and proceeded to get run over (and spent 8 weeks in hospital with both legs broken)
Then got a medical bill of 8000 euros whilst still on crutches.

He is still not right to this day.

jesus give him a break, regardless of whether it was his fault or not we all make mistakes sometimes, I'm sure he wanted to get run over, no one can tell me they haven't dodged across a busy street before in their lives, man there just no sympathy on here sometimes.

Blooming woman, "well it was ya fault....nag nag nag nag", you could be having your arm hanging off, "nag nag nag nag" ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH <pulls hair out>

He is talking about suing the woman that hit him, i expressed my sympathy at the time it is not a nice injury but still not very fair of him.

They begin with R because you wanted them to.

Witness:

Knocked-down, knocked-back, knocked-over.

Get your bike insured.

Report it stolen.

Claim.

The crime reference number would be before the insurance policy was taken out.

If the best thing that happened was them laughing at you when you tried to claim then you'd be lucky.
