You'll easily shed as much weight as you want, and build up fitness. You can build your fitness within 2 weeks if you tried.

Get cycling every day, for an hour or so (sometimes more) and play a sport, tennis, squash, football etc what ever one you prefer playing. When you have free time again go for another ride/run.

just wanna try and look half decent on holiday haha

going for a ride after work tonight. :D

The thing with cycling is you can just hope on it and go for a ride but hardly get the body going, you have to be going up some big hills or really go for speed.

Its easier on the joints but not as safe as running.

true and to benefit from it like you say you have to do some climbs or try and get some speed up but its also possible to try to keep a steady cadence and instead of going for speed just try and spin in a lower gear to get the heart going , this is what i am doing at the moment and my stamina and fitness are a lot better for it rather than just powering along in a high gear

not sure exactly how far i rode last night but was about 6-8 miles i think. but on the way there is was a lot of uphill!!

killed me, and confrimed how unfit / fat i am lol

If I catch you with a pint in your hand tonight I shall be confiscating it.

back on topic! whats the best way to stop a stitch? i just been for a 20 min run rather than a ride tonight. i started and stayed at a VERY stedy (slow :p) jogging pace, but still managed to end up with a slight stitch!! :(

For me it all comes down to breathing, but others will argue different. I very rarely get a stitch but if I feel one coming on I can control it by concentrating on abdominal breathing with no loss in pace.
