In desperate need of a new pair of trainers/sports shoes to replacing my aged Adidas trainers.

I play Squash at least once a week and gym/running..

Will any Nike / Asics / Mizuno trainers do ?

Edit: they need to be comfortable (very) and supportive... don't want to tear ligaments in my ankle again when playing squash.

Thanks, I bought a pair last night on the way home from work :)

First game tonight to try them out.

Need to get some running shoes now...

I wore running shoes for squash and managed to completely ruin then in about 4 games. Oops...

I've just bought the Hi-Tec ones and although they don't look that great, they apparently they're pretty damn durable and comfy.

I just need to learn how to play squash now.

More or less what happened to me! My aging trainers were past it so decided I needed some squash shoes.

Played last night in new shoes for fist time.. what a difference! No more running around like a headless goat! Have to change my style of play a little to suit the shoes... but they are very grippy and comfy!

What running shoes did/do you have? Any good?

Nothing special, I think they were new balance or something. Clearly not designed for changing direction rapidly for things like squash as the insides got wrecked. They're in the bin now.

I'm off for a freebie squash lesson tomorrow with no intention of going back as its £65 per month for once a week. Pfff. Other than that I've booked myself onto a 6 week intro course to hopefully sort my game out. It was only £36 for the whole 6 week course.

Can't wait now!

Just remember to make a conscious effort starting out to get back to that T as quick as you can... and there's no need to hit the ball hard. :)

I'm no good but I love the game!

Yeah I've started to do that. Its mainly my strokes that need a lot of work as my main sport before this was badminton. Its tough to get used to being side on, turning my body etc. I love the challenge though and it should get my fitness up nice and quickly.
