Runtime error with Uplay game launcher

nothing is wrong with uplay and my bt router uplay did work before:D it just stopped working when i changed my storage drive from a 3td to a 6tb one and now uplay just stopped working with the runtime error i have no idea why:confused: and uplay wasn't even instaled on them storage drive i changed so i am lost:confused:

Did you cloned partition on 3TB to 6TB HDD? That should work.

If not, you probably moved data to different folders on 6TB HDD. You will need to sign in Uplay and click on Setting to change installation locations pointing to folders where you moved games.

Finally. You would had done what I advised last week to made backup of Ubisoft folder, uninstall Uplay, delete original Ubisoft folder and reinstall Uplay then see if Uplay still work then you can move all games from backup to it. Hope Uplay still work after all games moved from backup folder. If still not work then guess you will need to redownload games.

must have been one of the games that was corrupted somehow don't know which one i dont mind in downloading them again as i am on a 200meg fibre

Did you tried right click to verify files on each Uplay games? If Uplay verify files and found corrupted files then it will redownload game files to replace corrupted files.

i couldn't do anything to games in uplay when you get the runtime error up not even updating the games worked nevermind now anyway i have downloaded all my games back now

I know this is about a month old, but I'm running into this stupid issue with the Runtime error after I log into Uplay. I had a drive crash (not my win install) and now having issues since it was where my games were located. In the log it shows that it can't parse the install state of a game. I have no method of removing that game. If I don't click on the runtime error I can still navigate (partially) within Uplay. There is no download or uninstall option for the game.

So to John11 - How did you uninstall the game?

I can't figure out how Uplay knows what game should or shouldn't be installed. I uninstalled it, removed registry keys associated with Uplay, deleted the Ubisoft folders that it slid into AppData. It's freaking weird. For the love of god why did every studio have to make their own Steam app. Sadly the Ubisoft titles I purchased through Steam work fine lol.

You can uninstall Ubisoft Uplay games in Programs and Features, all my Uplay games listed there can be uninstall.

Got no issues with games on Uplay, Origin and Steam.

I had one game that did not show up. In the log files for Uplay I found this error:
Could not parse install state for product 5059

I figured it was the one game that I could not uninstall. I eventually did enough digging in the registry and found a place under both current user and local machine called Installs. Beneath it were containers for 2039, 2045, and sure enough... 5059.

Once I deleted that 5059, Uplay launched without the runtime error. So in short... if you ever re-install Uplay and wonder how it knows what games should be on the machine... it's looking for those product numbers.

Anyhow... it was this thread that got my attention away from a Visual C++ or a profile issue (also had to deal with a user account loading in a temp profile).
