Russian Grand Prix 2015, Sochi - Race 15/19

Yeah it sounds a decent idea if you think about it for only a second but when you consider how finely tuned a racing car is and how delicate they are you don't want to be relying on one for what is essentially an 'emergency' service!

Who would set the car up for each track? Who would supply and make parts? You'd need a big team just to get it ready and fire up each race! F1 engines aren't meant to last long either, a Merc road car (even highly tuned) will last tens of thousands of miles I'd imagine.

Not the biggest fan of Alonso, but that was very very funny.

Though I am surprised that Massa seemed to spend so much time behind the Mclaren, he didn't look like he was absolutely all over the back of him, and another lap around he still looked fairly far back into the straight. Though got him at the end of it finally.

Saw that backing off in turn 3 from Bottas as a window for Kimi, shame he didn't get a great exit and Bottas got back past him. This track is actually good, a lot of really good corners for overtaking, a lot of decent straights. Just a bad year with too many crap teams or engines ruining the competitiveness.

I said earlier this weekend, this track next year or in 2017 if we have some really competitive teams could really turn out to be a great track.

It's annoying how Red Bull have become so embedded in the TV coverage, BBC even have a direct link to Christian Horner.

I recall Christian Horner being BBC's "go to guy on the pit wall" thing in 2012/2013, I think he's just a genuinely nice guy who doesn't mind it, rather than it being "All Red Bull" - I remember Ross Brawn doing it in 2012 with Mercedes as well.

This makes me sad:

Sheesh Sainz, you don't try to drive back to the pits when your rear wing is quite obviously smashed and likely to shed pieces all over the track. He'd have known the rear wing was likely broken by the force of the impact.

Wtf, of course you do. You never park it for broken wings or body work.
