Not trolling, I used to support Hamilton, especially when he was relatable as person but not now he has become the F1 equivalent of Wacko Jacko albeit without the questionable sexual behaviour. I find Vettel a far more relatable and personable chap all round.

That's a ludicrous statement. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but stating his behaviour is as weird as MJ's is just nonsense. I think we all get that you like Vettel, but that doesn't mean that you need to invent some persona for a person who happens to be his championship rival.

I plugged it the other day, but I'd really urge you to download the Beyond The Grid podcast, and listen to the interviews with these drivers, hear what they have to say and also what they say about each other. Kubica's insights on racing alongside Vettel throughout his early career are really interesting in particular, and his struggle to cope with situations that are out of the norm manifested from a much earlier age.

I also think Hamilton is a bit preachy with the New Age spiritual stuff in his interviews but I (1) respect his talent more than any other current driver and (2) support him because he's British. I also think he has a better temperament and that is probably down to his spirituality.

Why do you feel the need to relate to someone to support them? for all you know Vettel could be a horrible person, most of what you see through the media is filtered through media training and multi-million pound marketing teams.

And of all the Tilke corners, Turn 8 at Istanbul will remain a high point. But Turn 3 in Sochi? Not even in the same universe as 'epic'.

Why was Tilke allowed to design so many F1 tracks? Even if you bizarrely believe that the tracks he's designed are classics of the genre, why would you want such a large proportion of tracks to have a single designer? It makes no sense to me.

The problem with the safety cars is that the race control holds them too much time, thus effectively ruining what otherwise could be real racing for at least several laps - sometimes five and more.
These haven't learnt that they need more marshals and the time allowed to clean the track should be reduced to 2-3 minutes, not more.

Monopoly, as in all other aspects of our lives... :(
There could be other interesting types of corners, which currently don't exist in F1.

Mercedes looking comfortable again. I wonder whether Mercedes saved their engine at the start of the season?

The update packages improved their performance, as well. It could have been more interesting if it didn't rain in Germany and Hungary.

Just watching the qualifying on Sky for the first time ever and I'm finding the commentary extremely dreary, much prefer C4's Edwards/Coulthard/Chandhok trio who seem much more passionate, at least to me.

You caught a bad one, DiResta isn't the most energetic of commentators. Brundle is MUCH better. But he's taking a couple of races off.

I do agree that Chandhok is great though. Also a great guy irl too.
