Max on the front row!!! We’re on for a good race. Hamilton has the best tyre off the start, but it might not last long. A safety car or a bad start will finish his race.

Maybe, but if he gets outdragged and stuck behind those on mediums it seems unlikely.

I understand why they wanted him to go again on fresh tyres instead but why not take a banker?
He did that's where he got the extra time to beat Bottas.

Basically at turn two there are those bollards that they are supposed to go round if they cut the corner, but Masi - already covering himself in glory, not - has set the rule that if any part of the car crosses the sausage curve they must use it. Hamilton, KMag, Gasly, and Grosjean all nudged over the kerb and are being investigated.
And the decision here:
Not really sure what deleting lap times long after the event really does, especially when one of them is an out lap and whether people got out of Q1/Q2 has already been decided really means.

Cut across the apex of the stupid turn 2. Normally they need to go through the barricade off to the left when the rejoin, but from my understanding that was only if you went completely over the sausage curbs, which Lewis didn't. I remember this being an issue in a race a couple of years back, and it was fine then. This is a problem the FIA have made for themselves with god awful concrete car park tracks like this.

The FIA are useless. They pick and choose what they enforce. Put some gravel there, they’ll soon stay on the track.

Ah ok, Sky weren't sure in commentary, so that would make sense for the first runs. Ocon managed to get within 0.3s of Ricciardo, but even on fresh tyres Albon was 1.2s off Max and yet again proving he shouldn't be in that car.
