I’d laugh if Hamilton still puts it on pole. Either way he needs to be ahead of bottas with those tyres.
It equally impacts all teams though doesn't it. Adding stoppage time would impact Renault and Riccardio who put in a great lap and benefits Hamilton whose made a mess of first lap.
What the hell was Gasly doing? What a stupid and selfish thing to do knowing the whole field behind him might not get to the line in time.
That was presumably the entire point when he's driving a car that's only just quick enough to get to Q3. If he'd given them all a good run he risked losing a couple of places. Even more cynical would say it was to help RBR too, who were also close to not making it.What the hell was Gasly doing? Agent Gasly (for Red Bull) perhaps?
I get those points however driving unnecessarily slow is a breach of the regulations, and he was clearly driving unnecessarily slow. That was presumably the entire point when he's driving a car that's only just quick enough to get to Q3. Hamilton, verstappen and ricciardo all putting the manners on their teammates by 0.7-1.0s. Very impressive
