Oh my. So much hysteria about a mistake. Lewis, just like any driver, makes several mistakes a season. Usually got away with it and people quickly forgot. It's only more noticeable this season as it's the first time in 8 years that there's actually another driver/ team challenging him, guess you could say 4 seasons as Nico was able to keep the pressure for a little longer (and even beat him one year) than Valtteri is.

Possibly allowing for poor track conditions so were more lenient in their decision making?
 
Bottas' engine change. That's going to promote more of the crazies up the grid to potentially take out Lewis at the first corner.

Age doesn't seem to be that important in motor racing, and it's less demanding than physical sports, such as boxing or MMA.

Sensible for merc, mixed up at the front, potentially hold up verstappen and as said he goes well here and merc clearly the fastest in race trim. Not so sure if it's to slow max down though but can obviously act as such depending upon pace.

A lot was made of Alonso returning at his "advanced" age; however look at Indy Car; not only is one of the main front runners 41 (Scott Dixon) but you've got Castroneves, Montoya, Bourdais, etc who are all in their mid to late 40's and seem to be fine; heck Dixon is the defending champion.

Except he’ll get another dreadful start and Max gets him off the line
Bottas isn’t great either in the wet nor holding up MV - latter was proven in Holland
 
Prediction;
The first three will disappear into the distance will be not be caught.
Lewis will be 4th...until the last lap, when he runs out of talent & Sergio takes him around the outside on the last bend.
Haas claim the last two points positions.

Its been proven time and again that using Bottas as a moving roadblock for Max offers next to no advantage :D.
 
How does taking an extra engine go with the budget caps? The top teams I've seen have said how difficult it is to stay below budget and aren't these engines millions?
