right click on rust choose properties put this into the launch options: -force-d3d9

this completly sorted my graphical issues that people are having on amd cards.

seems I can only join 1 of the central eu servers. game just hangs at the loading screen if I try any of the others

Bit of both really - some are friendly - some kos - No applied real rule set hence the server name Hunger Games.

Will come join the fun, just got back to my house on another server, totally raided, they had to get through 8 wooden doors and 2 metal but they cleaned me out.

It's Sleepers currently but thinking of taking Sleepers off for the time being, any thoughts.. ?.

I'll paste the config in later to discuss what works best, i.e. should we have instant crafting.

i'd say instant crafting a big no, makes the game way too easy, also sleepers off would be a good idea, as a casual player myself during the week, i'd die constantly.

Thanks will take sleepers off, Buildings do decay it seems - any way of turning of decay - if so do you think it should stay on?

Do they really decay, I didn't know that.

Weird thing, I got back to my house and the stairs had changed direction, lol

Yep they decay over 4 days apparently, you can repair them by adding wood to your hot bar then spamming the associated hot bar number against the wall. If damaged you will be prompted it's been healed for x amount. For metal walls and building parts you need to equip metal fragments.

Can't decide if this a good thing or bad, probably bad if i've not logged on for 4 days

Sleepers off works for me, there are high enough risks in this game already without getting killed and looted while offline

Wood buildings decay if you havent been on for 24hrs, and they start at the top. Can be a bit of a shocker if you are away for a weekend and come back to find only your foundation and pillars left! So I just log in daily and open/close a door.. if I dont want to play. That prevents it. yes you can repair them, and the degraded parts change to a darker colour.

Metal buildings decay too but it takes longer. I think you need to keep decay on to prevent all kinds of unused buildings stressing the server unnecessarily.

Normal crafting speed is best I think or it does indeed become too easy. I craft in bulk over night usually and its not a big deal.

created a website RustHG.co.uk nothing special but to be used a portal mainly to give new players some background, especially non OCuk players.

Any suggestions pls let me know - will try get a TS server up.
