Rust - multiplayer survival from the creator of Garry's Mod

I hope they sort guns soon, the jump from makeshift weapons to m4s is just ridiculous. Imagine more bow fights... Would be so cool.
 
Nebby's new metal house was just raided too, reckoned its took 70+ C4.. Who was this, N1B? Maybe lay off a little.. Lots of decayed buildings around so we don't want to put others off too much.

The reason you were told to speak to me re the metal parts is because myself and another guy farmed zeds until we looted all the different parts.

I offered a trade 2 parts for 1 explosive but you declined then shot a friend so we just came and took it all 3 chests worth lol

We were going to leave you just an empty shotgun but Dice felt bad and left full kevlar too lol

He actually took it pretty well, its part of the game after all. But one over dominant group on the server (if that is the case) is not healthy.

Edit: he may well have deserved it, Idk ;)
 
Not sure if he "deserved" it, that would be down to his previous actions, but it can surely be expected, if that's the case. lol

I would never build in such an obvious spot.

Surely when you take into account the amount of resources required to raid his house(assuming it did take that much c4) it just wouldnt be worth raiding?

According to the wikia:
■691 Sulfur to make Gunpowder and Explosives
■616 Charcoal to make Gunpowder
■158 Metal Fragments to make Explosives and Flare
■60 Animal fat to make Low grade fuel
■35 Cloth to make Leather and Low grade fuel

If you are having to use large amounts of C4 to raid someone for profit, you will rarely get a return on investment. In this case he said he lost 2k GP, but for 70 C4, not worth it..

Hence you would only use that much C4 to make a statement, hence my "did he deserve" it comment. e.g., Raiding to get revenge, annoy someone, get them to move somewhere else.

The most efficient way of raiding/robbing is a siege tower, or just keeping tabs on empty houses until they decay and you loot everything at no resource costs bar a couple of stairs. Assuming you are not raiding for PvP action of course.
 
Nebby has had help relocating his building so it's not on the road outside of a very busy rad town, I spoke to him and he seems happy enough.

As for the dominant group statement, N1B only has about 5 active players who raid/aggressively PVP which I don't think is a server ruining group, we have quite a few members who just enjoy the building/farming and the crafting side of the game. You will be very lucky to see more than 4/5 ever running round in a group

If people think this his too much we will look into splitting up totally into 2/3 groups

Anyway, lots of questions about the move Cocky, any ETA on it please and will map and inventory be copied over? People are talking about friday, including players I never saw on the server.

At the minute we are waiting for multiplay to move us to a new server and everything will be saved. If this solves the lag and other issues we will stay there and all is good, if the lag remains we will look at moving to the other server at a time that suits everybody
 
This is our new server, its a 50 man server very low populated like less than 10 peeps. If you want a fresh start and not be shot on sight then come and play here before it becomes really populated. This way its easier to build a fortress before all hell breaks loose ;)

Bah :( took me a few hours to get where I was and Andy helped me out with some gear as a noob it helped a hell of a lot! So spent quite a few hours collecting wood/stone/killing zombies and getting metal fragments. Before i signed off a day or so ago had a nice supply of hatchets stored and bits.

Log in just now and not in my hut and everything taken :(
