Yea talk to SxG as the guy above said, they are a large guild and do a lot of stuff together, always good fighting against them. We royally annoyed one of the hackers last night... He was like "Shoot me and I'll grief you." So I killed him, even with cheats we killed him about 15 times to the 1 time he got us, sadly he teleported in to two of our players houses and stole about 8 sets of Kevlar, thousands of rounds, C4 galore and loads of other stuff.
I got that bitter taste that I got with DayZ yesterday after the hacker which is a shame

I assume your talking about the handbags at ten paces farce last night with blackrain.
He's been doing it for a while now, not exactly sure what you're talking about with the ten paces thing but I could genuinely hear him getting angry at the things I was saying to him which made me laugh
I actually managed to get half a house going last night and then some guy came and told me it was too close to their base and I would be killed on sight if I built there
Been axed in the face by randomers so many times as well. It is a fun game but it is geting pretty frustrating getting the basics sorted.

See, I've started up on pretty much all the other servers and I can get started up pretty quickly if I'm honest. Started last night on a server we've never played before, within 2 hours we had a 5x3 house sorted, 1000 + metal, 8 guns, 3xC4 and loads of stuff. We got an air drop so we got lucky but on a fresh server solo I do fine.
I spawn, rush to get 10 wood, even just hitting a tree, rush to get 5 stone, make a stone hatchet, get more wood and 2 cloth, make a bow and arrows. Kill some animals for meat and more cloth. Make a set of full cloth armor. You can now easily kill people, stalk around nodes waiting for people to start mining and then kill them, take their goods. Rinse and repeat. On a solo start within a hour I was crafting an M4 (found blue print) and I also stole someones house. If you spawn nowhere near any resources press F1 and type suicide.
Yea' only way I know of.
We've now moved to a different server, one where there isn't a scheduled wipe this week

Mostly my issues are with my own noobishness and not knowing how things work. For instance I still haven't figured out how to smelt metal, wiki says campfire but I can't get it to work. It took me ages to figure out holding E gave me the choice to open the inventory or light it. I only just figured out how to make a stone hatchet, I thought a metal one was the only option.
e: Also how do you quit?? The Quit option in the menu does nothing for me, I am quitting by signing out of the Rust site completely.
e2: How long does it take to chop down someones front door?

Snap, just watched the 1pm roll over. Both went in split seconds of the auction starting again at full whack. Not chancing it for that.
Fair play to the guys for coming up with an innovative way of distributing/making money, but well... meh.

You smelt metal using a furnace not the fire pit now that is only for cooking food , just chuck the ore and wood into it then light it and wait. I just quit by waiting 1 minute while doing nothing then just closing the browser down. I think you need to hit a door about 40-50 odd times I believe.

use a woodaxe it takes 120 hits but its quicker
Scratch that apparently: 200 hits
failing that 1-2 Satchel Charges but dont waste them.

i'm guessing its rock<stone hatchet<metal hatchet<pickaxe for damage? and metal hatchet for speedy node bashing?

Yes but metal hatchet is more efficient than a pickaxe.
Bit of luck I was expanding when the server got wiped tonight... I had 6 door ways on me, 2 foundation, 10 pillars, 6 metal doors, 6 ceilings lol! Got both air drops too which was handy which had 10 walls, 20 pillars, 4 foundations, C4 and some other stuff. Raided a few new houses tonight... I love my shotgun <3
Game is so fun, was roaming around and gathering materials and I see some guy in the distance, I’m not wearing much more than cloth armour with my trusty bow, so he notices me and I take a pot shot at him, just about missed him and he chased me, I let people on TS know that I've got someone following me, so they get ready to kill him… I lead him in to the ambush and he dies. I go back to the house where I found him and explained I managed to survive and sorry to see he got killed, we started chatting and I felt a little uneasy, next second the window of his house opens and out poor some mad people with shotguns, I start running back to my base and again I’m saying on TS that I’ve got people coming, lack of communication with one of the guys ended up with me standing next to a random enemy thinking it was my friend, I died and my friends came and mopped up. For them chasing me again we all geared up and went back to this house and raided them. The raid lasted a good 30 mins as they had numerous doors and all we had was pick axes but it was an amazing fire fight, we robbed them of everything and went on our way.

just picked this up for $4.00 auction is very random. was only 2 keys per hour earlier, looked back not long ago and is was 256 keys per hour?!?!
