Rx480 prices.... mining?

I've put mine up online at more than I'd expect it to sell for secondhand.

If anyone bites, I'll sell it. If not, I'll just carry on using it instead.

Seems daft not to try and offload it if some miner is willing to pay over the odds for it at the moment, though knowing me I've already missed the boat.

As an indication of the insanity there's a used 4GB 380 on auction elsewhere currently up to £132 with about 7 hours to go. That's not far off what I paid brand new near on 18 months ago.

It's funny seeing the fury x prices shooting up, earlier this year Amazon in America were selling them for $310, now they're double or triple that in some cases.

I still can't get my head around why people pay real money for code produced by a graphics card.

The week before the news about this boom went mainstream and the dreamers jumped on the bandwagon, OCUK were selling used 8GB 480s for <£200 and a Radeon pro duo for ~£600 lol.

The same reason they perceive value in pieces of paper with peoples faces on them, or shiny pieces of metal.

At least the paper money is backed by billions worth of gold bullion in the Bank of England...or at least it was until the Tories flogged it off in a bargain sale! :p

Another Corbyn follower? You know it was Gordon Brown that sold of half our gold reserves when the gold price was low. :)

Yeah its a **** take to say the least, yes its how business "works" but annoying none the less.

WoW:eek:
I can't believe that my Gigabyte RX470 G1 has gone from £180.00 to £329.99 due to the mining, I might be tempted to sell mine and get a better card. ;)

Is it me or are the miners moving to 1050ti's now or are gamers having to buy them as prices seem to be rising and stocks seem to be depleting fast, a number are out of stock

So what are my 280x's worth then?
they selling for around 100-140 quid. Someone just sold the Gigabyte Windfast one (I used to own 2 of them) for £170! He must be chuffed to bits. I wonder if they're really a good card for mining as they were old (pre-R9) tech and thirsty buggers.

REALLY? Christ... Haha! Better get the second one flashed back to its old bios so it works again then. :D

Gordon Brown sold off most of the UK's gold reserves when gold was at its lowest price in years. Last time I checked he wasn't a Tory.

Oh Dear.....Politics....that's the last thing we need in here. Please stop

I just gave my old Gigabyte 280X Windforce to my nephew.....AAAGGGHHHH! How much are Fury Tri-X's worth at the moment :D
