Rx480 prices.... mining?

1080p for a month or two isnt going to hurt . just in life very really do you get back full value or more for second hand - throw away/to be recycled/out of date goods
The problem is not only the fact that the low-end Vega could take months to be released, it's also that we know nothing about it whatsoever. It could be crap, then I'm stuffed.

Is a 290 any good with this come back?

Edit - just checked my Ultracoin (from the last rush a few years ago), still not worth much but it's shot up massively.

Back during the litecoin hype I sold the HD7990 I bought for £400 during the firesale, for £650 (after it had already produced multiple BTC), then bought a pair of R290s, sold the game codes and mined on them for over a year, then sold them for >£100.

Hustle hustle yo.

One sold on here yesterday for £150 delivered, the guy had offers in seconds, must have been kicking himself when he realised how much he underpriced it XD

That's mad. I should sell mine and just buy a 1070 for gaming.
Do it!

Get them sold guys, miners are hoovering stock like crazy, any 570 and above we get in is sold within minutes. Miners are now starting buy the 1060 and 1070 in big volume too. We have a 1060 mining SKU for our B2B and corporate customers and already shifted 2k today.

Hmm, not sure I can face playing Overwatch at 50-60 FPS again, ha. Also, if there are memory price issues, surely this will affect Vega too? I can see even "small Vega" being expensive at this rate.

HBM2.0 and the price of HBM2.0 is already sky high, vastly more expensive than GDDR5X or GDDR6. All RAM, NAND at the moment is sky high, it is why RAM, SSD, Flash prices have double/tripled in comparison to where they were a year ago.

I have 2x R9 390's which get the same hash rate as the RX480 when mining Ethereum. I'm mining Ethereum Classic and I have made £110 in 2 weeks. Its definitely making a comeback... In fact I'm tempted to buy more hardware to mine with, but I don't know how long this will last.
