I am supposed to be flying to barcalona next monday morning, but the guy i am supposed to be going with cant now come.

has anyone had experience with changing a passenger? the tickets only cost £20 each, but according to the website, they cant £70 to change the name on the ticket, and you cannot claim anything back if you cancel (not a problem, i expected that)

any one had an experience?

Sounds about right for Ryan Air, had a similar issue a few years ago with them. Except that they would not allow a name change at all, needed to buy a new ticket.

First time i flew with Ryanair to Ireland they lost my luggage ... well i say lost... they never put it on the plane . :/

Im guessing the price of another ticket has gone up by now? You could just buy another ticket for £20 for the other person to go (assuming the price is the same, which is unlikely at this time).

Most charge a fortune (compared to ticket price) or just don't allow name changes (Virgin for example).

Mrhhh, if the new person thats going is a different sex, you could say they have completed their "trans-gender" operation and it's actually the same person!

Worth a try.

tell them it is for business and the person that booked it typed the wrong employee?

if there is space rebook for £20 rather than pay £70 for a name change?

well there phone service is shocking, im just on hold. at 10p a minute this is ****
Welcome to Ryan Air... any way they have for screwing you for a few extra pounds, they'll do it.

Good luck getting them to change the tickets without charging you £70... I don't think you'll get away with it myself, and you'll have spent a fortune on the phone charges for the privilege of them telling you where to go.

I despise flying with Ryan Air with a passion. Unfortunately getting from the UK direct to Montpellier with any other carrier is difficult outside the summer months :(

They don't appear to have a UK landline, you're being sent to Ireland. Might still be cheaper than 10p a minute though.

Or try ringing the airport you're meant to be flying from and twist their arm. Get put through to the Ryanair desk.
