RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Position 528 at a competitor. Very very tempted to cancel (5900X order) and get a 5800X for £550 inc. I suppose after fees and postage that takes it to ~£440.
Gaming wise it seems like the 5800X is actaully better than the 5900X anyway due to the single CCX

£550 for only a 8 core Ryzen cpu seems very poor value to me.

Does 5900x not run cooler and 5800/5950 are th hot ones?

Seems like the shipment of 25 from the non-official distributor that Gibbo talked about has come through, because me and a few others have had theirs dispatched.

Ah thanks. So last Friday I was queue position 40. Minus 25, I should be around position 15 +/- 5. Next batch it seems, fingers crossed for Friday.

I had 3 options;
1.Suck it up and pay the extra
2.Wait until next year for the 5900x
3.Buy a bundle with a CPU and mess around selling the other parts for a probable loss

At least i can cancel the pre orders, give others a sooner chance of theirs arriving and reclaim the £1040 tied up in pre-orders (£510, 530)

Game wise, i’m not sure i’ll notice much if any difference with the 5800x / 5900x.
It was close if i went 5900 or 5800 anyway as the 5800 offered single ccx, 5900 more cores but 2 x ccx and slightly high clockspeed.

Heat wise im sure there will be good chips and bad of all

I thought about this .. im then locked into buying from OCUK , not to mention i dont know how much it will cost
I bought mine 5950x using amazon pay and amazon account, I don't have OCUK account, and it went straight through, I was 2nd in queue when I ordered it 14:10.

My current thought is to cancel my order for my 5900x and pay a scab on eBay for a 5800x. At least I'd get it by the weekend.
I’ve done exactly this. To be fair the scab price of £550 isnt thst scabby :)
Factor in fees and postage and they are making maybe £30.
A 5900 for £920 though, nope!!

Yeah, I only really brought the 5900x because it was an extra £100. I think I'll wait until the Friday update and make my judgment. I'd only be gaming, plus my i5 7600k isn't doing so great.

Was 45 in the queue for 5600X - received nothing. No dispatch e-mail or update. I assume it was 25-30 5600X CPU from non-official distributor.

I moved a whole 61 positions in a 1.5 weeks. Don’t see all orders being filled in 6 weeks (by 17/12)
