AMD has told us stock should improve towards the end of November and into December.
Can someone fro OCUK explain what this means? Do you get any before quote: “end of November and into December” ?

I had a 5900X order with a competitor and was queue position 968 least week, down to 888 this week. So I phoned to ask what the stock situation was and when I eventually got through the best i got was "more than one or two" will be delivered on the 20th or 24th. I just cancelled the order as I will not wait months for a CPU while they have my money.

Similar. A 5800x is on its way to me.
The competitor shows N/A and TBC only for 5800x.
I put it down to all the scalpage. Selling for £100 more to make back fees, shipping and £30 for troubkes is justified. +£300 is not

Would be nice to know what state of current in shipment CPU's are. When the 2nd shipment is due not just the one on 24th/26th.
Where in the chain are the CPU's currently etc etc.

Gibbo is probs using our pre order money to play in the stocks atm going by what he posts when at workl.

I would expect AMD to be not far off.

They are allowed to sell custom cards next week.

Manufacturers make more money from custom cards
Retailers make more money from custom cards
Customers pay more for custom cards

It's the same chip in a reference card as a custom card so manufacturers have no reason to use chips for low margin reference cards when they don't have to. They had to make some for launch.
