out of interest, what makes you think they would price it there?

It's just an educated guess but....
The 5800x3d is similar performance to a 13600k for a similar price currently

However the am5 motherboards and ram cost more than intel equivalent so to stay competitive they need to keep the CPU priced low

Just my opinion of course and we will soon find out

You might see one elsewhere but not here to be honest. No doubt the pound fluctuating 1 cent against the dollar will push up prices by at least £50 over mrsp at launch.

You're not going to get better avg fps, i think 1% lows will improve, imo.

To be fair to it, my 7600 @ 5.35Ghz (just a simple PBO overclock) runs my 4090 superbly well at 4k. I'll still get an X3D as I need more cores for some games (plus to improve the minimum fps), but damn the 7600 is a great CPU for gaming.

You do me a favor? Can you test Cyberpunk 2077 in the tom's dinner area? It's the heaviest area in the game, I wanna see how zen 4 holds up. I know the 3d crumbles. If you want directions how to get there, just ask
