ADMIN JUST MAKE IT STICKY AND BRIGHT YELLOW OR SOMETHING. Save us the repeated "I can't search" threads followed by the for ***** sake quotes. This should've been done a long time ago.
 
Stickies are read even less.

The annoying thing is, there's no need to even read this thread. The title tells you there's not a search at the moment. God knows how people cannot see this thread sitting in the main listing. :confused:
 
just close general discussion. that will cut the load on the server by about 90% and we can have search back for the other sections. :D
 
The forum deserved my idiotic thread because of the idiot who set the title for this thread :p

Aside from that, to make it more obvious for someone who's scanning down the left hand side of the forum page for "search" It might have been wise to title the thread differently rather than "poll ***********************************"

Just a little HCI nitpick from me.
 
is it one server for the site one for forum or one for both ????

new section for forum achieves for 1 month say then 3 months then old as h*ll ??? searches cut to 15 seconds or rather 20 ??? then after 1year plus years maybe deleted ? or saved depending on a vote or poll and on the amount of posts in that thread ? and the search function would be limited to 2 weeks old posting or active posts with users watching or threads open ....


its clearly obvious i know but still felt like suggesting it
