S.T.A.L.K.E.R Collectors Edition and further confirmation from THQ regarding release.

I've been playing the leaked beta for about 3days now , ran a server on hamachi
... Last night was great , played 6HRS of DM with lots of people from rage3d who also had to use hamachi.

Great game , runs great until you put full lighting on but hell still playable so ive preordered this game already
 
All this sounds promising... looking forward to seeing it for myself.

Unless any of you guys fancy getting banned, and spilling the beanz!!!!!!!!

Different shots from different people , but all of us are running lightning quality to full at pretty much max settings.

Myself i get between 20fps and 60 , a lot of the drops happen when walking through the grass during the train level. As such its best to turn the grass amount down just like in oblivion , but overall it looks amazing and sounds amazing.

Grass moving , tree's moving.. Wind.. Lightning .. cats meoowing.. monsters moaning ( none seen ) . Its incredible , though i have got the odd FATAL error and crash sometimes it totaly freezes up. This is affecting a lot of people , reading it on the forums too.

Sorry Neil. You said you are getting 20 - 60fps, what kind of CPU/GPU are you using for that rate?

oops sorry forgot :D

3800+ x2 @ 2.6GHZ 288FSB ,2GB GSKILL DDR 3 3 2 8 244MHZ , SLI-DR , X1800XT 512MB 702/801 , SAMSUNG 913N 19" TFT.

One guy was running all at max with a 8800GTX and c2d getting 60fps+ all the time with no slowdowns , another one 8800GT was getting awsome frame rates aswell.

I want to upgrade :D

Excellent. Don't get me wrong, the 7800GTX is a great card, but I feel this game will push it's tired bones a little too far. An 8800GTS is on the cards within the next few months!

What about AA/AF performance or is that with AA/AF ??

No aa , Full AF ( in game settings )

Having trouble getting aa to work with HDR and the frame rate isn't worth it on my card . Tbh its so damn eery i don't notice the aa levels

This game was one of the main reasons I have the spec in my sig... but that is now over a year old, and it looks a further upgrade will be called for!

Don't ya just love the PC business!
