S2000 owners thread. 9,000rpm of goodness in here.

Prices on S2000s are all over the place. I considered getting another one when I moved my 911 on as I missed it. Gone for a 987.1 Cayman S and not regretting it just yet.

I think 15-17k on an S2000 it needs to be spotless. They're great cars, but they are now at an age when plenty needs doing to keep them fresh.

That's where I'm at with it really, just want to best example for a fair budget just so I get the most out of it. It will be my daily at the end of the day

I'm not against silver tbh. What subtle touch could be done to make it look a bit better? Red seats maybe. They grey take on the wheels I shared on the other page maybe

How is 5 stamps full service history? Full service history to me is a service every year, so that should have like 17 stamps? when i sold my 2005 s2000 i was on my second service book lol.

Yea some years he might have done low miles, but so did i, last 3 years of ownership i did <500miles a year and still got an oil change at Honda, Over the top probably yes, but 5 services on a 18? year old car is not great?

I completely missed that, good point!

I'm thinking about moving my front plate because I really hate the stock plinth.
What do you think about here?:

Or just removing the plinth and dropping it slightly like this:

works perfect, no plint just removable mounts.. slide in with a magnet and out, you do some cad etc so should be easy to design :)

I like that. 3/4 size plate is it?
Your S2000 is so damned sexy. Hoping to get a similar flush look on the wheels on mine once I drop 25mm on the Ohlins and fit some 15mm spacers. Are your arches rolled?

13x4.4" if I remember right.. because of the private plate and 6 characters I can get away with less "empty" space around them.

its on ohlins, around 25-30mm drop, the rear really has another 10mm or so of space but the front is pretty tight, arches rolled because of the 245/40 semi slicks all around, before that with a 215 it was ok. These wheels are 17x8.5 et51 all around.
