Who's getting it?

No dm I gave an opinion based on actual events. Pulis has shown as little as 4-5 months ago that he doesn't like working at clubs without full control. WBA don't give their managers that.

You on the other hand initially based your opinion on the fact that he just wants the money - which is contradicted by the fact he walked out of Palace just 5 months ago and now making random guesses as what might have changed. He might have decided he wants to dress as a woman too, it's possible.

Again no, you are specifically talking about two different things, control of who is signed is entirely separate from a manager getting more funds for transfers HE picks.

As for basing my opinion on the fact he wants money, once again, I haven't stated this as fact or opinion, it is NOT my opinion AND it isn't contradicted by the fact he "walked out of". He walked out of a job that he was being paid for and is only allowed to take a new job from 1st Jan....

At the time it was looking pretty mutual and his leaving compensation package being talked about in the press pretty much confirms that. So once again you aren't really basing things on actual events, just your entirely distorted version of events. He walked over principles about transfer control and who the club signs in your opinion, you've stated it multiple times.

In reality he was begging for more money like he did at Stoke, but like at Stoke(eventually) the owner stopped wanting to plough his own money into the club and there was what the club could afford left, Pulis is a man who likes to spend a fair amount and his insistence on more cash than is available has caused him to lose/leave two jobs. No one at Stoke nor Palace insisted he take players he didn't want(as you suggest) but simply refused his begging for more funds. Walking... seconds before you're fired for being a ****, it's really walking away.

I was again, that you seem to keep missing, pointing out the MANY reasons people consistently take jobs that aren't perfect, while you are stating as a categorical fact that he would never take such a job based off.... nothing. Money was a potential reason for taking a job(a huge one), I never claimed it was the reason he would definitely take said job. I've also pointed out basically the biggest name in management who was unhappy not having control at one club and happily signed for a club at a later date he'd have almost no control of, you've ignored this example multiple times.

You can talk about 'many reasons' other managers take jobs as much as you want, I'll stick to discussing Pulis as he's the manager in question.

Yes it's possible that Pulis has taken a complete change of stance in the last 4 months, maybe he's even happy to take a job as a kit man just so he can get back into a job, I doublt it though and history suggests he won't either. And seeing as Sherwood is now reportedly close to taking over, despite WBA having reportedly talked to Pulis, maybe Pulis hasn't had that change of heart and isn't one of those many managers you're talking about.

Edit: look what I found:
It is thought Pulis would want assurances on the final say for all transfers, an area of responsibility that became blurred at Crystal Palace after he inspired their escape from relegation last May and led to his departure 48 hours before the start of this season.

Tony Pulis will be announced as West Bromwich Albion’s new manager on New Year's Day having agreed a two-and-a-half year deal to take over from Alan Irvine after rejecting the chance to take over at Newcastle.

Very good appointment for them! He'll keep them up no doubt..

What happened to Sherwood? He was supposed to have it in the bag this morning.

Anyway, as I suggested it's being reported that Pulis demanded and has been given full control of first team matters including transfers.

What Glenn Roeder 'reckons' might not be the soundest basis for a rumour, but this is definitely going to happen:

Former Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder believes Mike Ashley should go all out to land Borussia Dortmund chief Jurgen Klopp as Alan Pardew’s replacement.

Pardew is set to quit St James' Park for Crystal Palace in the coming days, after the Eagles agreed a compensation package with their Premier League rivals.

And former Mapgies boss Roeder claims Klopp should be the number one target to take charge of the Toon.

Dortmund may have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League but have struggled domestically and, with the team currently in the Bundesliga relegation zone, Roeder reckons the highly-rated German coach could be tempted to move to the Premier League.

It'll be good if Klopp came to the PL.
I personally, dont rate him that highly, but if he manages Newcastle, we will get to see just how good he really is.

If he does a good job, his stock will rise and he can get a position in a big club.
If he does a bad job, then he could go the way of A.V.Boas.

It's clearly going to be Carver, it's Cashley all over, make money from getting rid of Pardew then find someone actually cheaper than one of the cheapest in the EPL. It's like the playing squad all over again, Cashley giveth with one hand and then fists you up the **** with the other :p:(

Please not Carver! Did you have to post that, can't I have one day of hope before reality sets in again :(

Don't get your hope up as a Toon fan, I learnt that a while back. Set your expectations in the gutter and at least things can't get any worse.

Temuri Ketsbaia has put himself forward for the Newcastle job:

“I’d love to manage in England, I always said that and I think I could do a good job. I worked at a club for many years that won championships, I managed in the Champions League and I worked with the national team for five years, so I don’t think the level is a problem. It wouldn’t be a problem and I know all about Newcastle.”

That would be fun.

Well we have fans who punch horses so why not a manager who punches corner flags? Gwt Asprilla as well and we can have a man who shoots boats too.
