*** Saints Row 2 - Official Thread ***

My copy just arrived from off-shore. I paid £54 for the collectors edition... and only the normal one has arrived. Annoyed.

EDIT - Just contacted their service desk, and they'll get the rest of the collectors edition sent out to me. Still a bit annoyed to be honest, but I guess so long as they arrive, I do at least have the game.

Just bought it from a shop in town, got a Freckle Bitches T shirt.

Told the guy I didn't care what size it was as long as I can represent.
 
I got this game today morning i was laughing when it said u can use cruise control lol. game great so far,
part from saints row the first one look better on the 360 version i pick it up for the ps3 version, colour look wash out
 
I've got an English char with dreadlocks, and he looks like he's been warped out of the 60's! The start of the game was really good, and then I got into a car...

Maybe GTA4 has spoilt me a bit in the car handling department with its realism. I hopped into a Hammerhead and handbraked right into a walking cop, which then alerted a nearby police car and all hell broke loose.

So far this is more of SR1 with a few tweaks here and there from what I can see. I only played it last night for 1.5hrs mind you.
 
Might be a silly question this, but is 2 player co op possible with a single machine (i.e split screen)? Many players mention the co op but not how its available.
 
Can’t believe I have just spent £35 on this game, It’s beyond belief how poor this is, the graphics are dire :( First time trying a SR game and will be the last I think, now wonders off to sell his copy.

/Back to GTA4 for me :)

So it's poor purely because of how it looks?
 
lol yeah 2thumbs you dont know anything! GFX > Gameplay now days ;) Thats why Crysis is so damn awesome









Now back in reality, Fothsn dont be a fool.
 
rather have poorer graphics and better gameplay and more importantly fun if there is no alternative in this style of game than what GTAIV tried to achieve and didn't really deliver this time round as described nicely here

Oh right yes I did say that :confused: I was just mentioning the graphics are poor I DID not state that’s why I feel the game is poor, the whole game feels very poor not just the graphics the game play as well, maybe I am too used to GTA but this feels 10x worse, of course this is my opinion and everyone is entitled to one this isn’t a game for me.

Well I don’t know the game feels very different from GTA (well I suppose that’s what they want) and I can’t seem to get to grips with the controls at all they seem so wrong and don’t get me on the driving WOW its so bad, the graphics looks bad and so does the game play, I mean starting off trying to get out of Jail I couldn’t believe how bad it was, doesn’t have a patch on GTA for me I’m afraid.

Maybe I need to give it more time and let it sink in.
 
Yeh driving is pretty poor. GTA4's was too realistic for me, but SR2's is too dumb. Ideally, it should be arcade style like Burnout.

The graphics seem fine to me (and I'm a freakin art student :/). The frame rate is a lot better than GTA4 (yes, including the 360 version) too.
 
i can safely say im enjoying it so far, its definitly more fun than gta!! its exactly like the activites video on you tube, i would rather do fun stuff on saints row than do boring stuff on gta.
