I was just wondering what people's views are regarding this. I've just spent the last fifteen minutes talking (arguing) with my brother as to which is the better game. He swears blind that Saints Row blows San Andreas out of the water, but I couldn't disagree more. Every single way I've looked at this, San Andreas is the better game and is more enjoyable. Obviously these are just two opinions, so neither is better than the other. But I was just wondering what your views were on it.

Thanks for any input.

San Andreas is better.

Better story, better vehicles, better locations, WAY!!! Better music. Need i go on?

Watch Boyz in the Hood and Menace II Society to make san andreas better!

San Andreas is far superior, each mission is unique unlike Saints Row where it feels like you're doing the same thing you did a few missions ago just in a different area. After a while Saints Row can feel repetetive compared with San Andreas which you can just play for hours and not get bored.

San Andras is better it pretty much every way.

San Andreas gets my vote. Better missions, cars, weapons and just general fun. I can play SA for hours at a time and not get bored.

San Andreas is better by so far, i'd need to go into astronomical units of measurement to state how far ahead it is.

Saint's Row wasn't bad, but i couldn't get deeply into it as i got bored and stopped playing it.
San Andreas was just awesome, but not quite as good as Vice City IMO.

Saints Row by a long way. Better story, better environment, better missions, better graphics.
But I hated San Andreas, it was just so annoying and violent and 'rap' oriented for the sake of being so.

For me, Vice City is the best of them all.

San Andreas for me, Lacks the next gen spice obviously, But the game is still superior in every way.

Saints Row is basically a prettier but watered down version of San Andreas.

Easily San Andreas. Some of the missions were incredible, especially the one with the train. Rockstar North have always been spot on when it comes to putting humour in their games and SA is no exception. Add that to the voice acting, the music, the way the vehicles handle, etc. and you've got a great game. It's not as good as Vice City, but still far ahead of the competition.

Saints Row is OK, but very bland is comparison.

There were good bits in each game but I enjoyed playing Saints Row more. It takes the good bits of the GTA series and adds refinements to make things even better. In fact, I'm jolly well getting it again for Xmas so I can play it again.

the only reason a lot of it is 'rap' like, is because a large part of it is based on south central LA, and the fact that its set in early 90's, where hip hop was at its strongest and gangs/turfwars were at their worse, its much more realistic, i thought it was a great game, but yeah not as good as vice city.

As for the arugment, Saints row is fun, good physics, graphics etc, but it really isnt in the same league as SA, but the new one should be interesting.

SA was too big for me, thats a game thats needs a lot of time put into it. GTA3 and Vice City are about the right size for me to remember all routes/roads.

Only played the Saints Row demo, didn't win me over, felt like a GTA wannabee without the physics, sparkle, playability, comedy, tunes.....etc etc

San Andreas by a long way, even though it is the weakest entries in the GTA3 based series.

Saints Row was great, but only a stop gap game for most and certainly one that would not have a got a look in, even if just an upsmapled version of San Andreas was released on 360. (now if only they took some of the better missions from Saints Row and put them into GTA4....).

Saints Row was just as rap gansta oriented as GTA:SA in my opinion...

Lack of motorbikes/planes and otehr vehicles we have accepted as standard due to GTA series hurt the game in my opinion, and may hurt GTA4 too (although it will be firgiven as Rockstar are making it!!).

Saints Row doesn't have the scope of SA, but the things it does do, it does far far better. Physics, combat, Vehicle handling, Vehicle upgrading, weapons, mp3 player

San Andreas wins hands down.

Saints Row was VERY good, and I really don't think it's fair to say it's better looking because the two games are years apart, but while there were a few aspects better, it did get a little monotonous after a while with no real variety.

San Andreas however is totally different. The entire play area is incredible and you get a real sense of achievement in driving from the run-down suburbs into a mega-city full of high-street stores. Saints Row tried to achieve this but you ended up going from bad area to good area in a matter of seconds.

I just think SA is one of those games that has the magic ingredient that no one knows what it is, but it's missing in all other clones of it.
