Some people have posted here that the tearing etc is much better than the demo. I think it is just as bad!!! The intro sequence tears in exactly the same place as before (when you pass the dude selling watches out of a briefcase) so they haven't corrected that.

I just got in my first car, If I drive in circles it tears. I am hoping the gameplay will make me ignore this. Normally I wouldn't drive in circles anyway, just did it as I was practising the controls and noticed this.

No doubt some people will jump in this thread and tell me it is a problem with my TV!!!

I am assuming that the tearing can't be fixed by the patch they are going to release in the near future :-(

8-9 months into the 360, how much longer will there be games with tearing?

edit1: It gets worse!! Standing still in the gun shop using the right Analog stick to turn the view, tilted stick about 50% you see tearing as *** camera view rotates.

edit2: You drive down a straiught road and just turn stick left to right repeatedly (like thos F1 fellows when they are heating up tyres on formation laps) and you see tearing!!!!

Suely I can't be the only one who has noticed this?

I just went into town to get it, walked into GAME saw it priced at £49.99 and promtly walked back out again. Ended up getting it at smaller shop down the road at 42.99. Can't believe game is still trying to rip people off with those prices, I used to be an avid buyer fro there too what was i thinking.

Not being funny but how long have you owned a 360? Every single 360 game has been 49.99 in GAME and the other big high street Games/Electrical shops since release date, apart from Table Tennis.

Yes you're right, the tearing and frame rate is no better than the demo, I can't quite understand why people say it isn't?

Good question

Not every game has been £49.99, quite a lot have been £44.99 and the NHL and NBA 2k6 games were both £39.99 on release.. Still, they are a rip off but if the games weren't selling they would soon drop the prices. Seem like they are because there doesn't seem to be any sign of the price dropping on the high street. Atleast supermarkets have the right idea, only trouble is you can't trade your old games in there.

I got Saint Row from Gamestation this morning for £7.44 after trading in Oblivion (360) and some other old tat I had lying around.

No you arent the only one here thats noticed it, its just that most of us arent as melodramatic as you are ;).
AS for the tearing, blame the developers and coders, they obviously havent got a clue about framerate and tearing...ive yet to see a game where there isnt a single tear in the game or framerate slowdown.
Tbh after a little while, it doesnt affect your gameplay that much....i did notice a lot of tearing in SR but as i went on, it didnt bother me that much.

Spent a few hours playing this this morning, good fun so far. I'll echo the other comments on tearing, very annoying.

There is tearing and it's pretty much the first time I've encountered it on any game on the 360, but it's very brief and not too common. I haven't had any in any of the cut-scenes.

how'd you get to the last bomb (and where is it...) on this Fox Drive Weapons Plant mission...i'm on the roof of this place and can't see how i can get any higher :(

What is the point of the save points which are at various locations around the map, because you can just save at any point in the menu anyway?

Once on the roof goto the end and then you need to run up the conveyor belt things that are diagonal, keep running up them and you will see the blue marker.

just got my copy of this so gonna fire the 360 up any second now :D i couldnt resist was pay dayand kinda on way home so i had too :o
