Damn, knew he was ill but that's a blow. RIP Sam :(

Oh no!
He's one of those actors who presence has almost felt eternal; probably because Jurassic Park was probably one of the first films I saw in a cinema as a child, so he became someone I always enjoyed seeing on screen. Makes his death one seem particularly poignant.

RIP :(

Bah :( he was a brilliant actor.

Watched JP1 last week, still loved it just as much as when I saw it in the cinema when it was released. Told the missus it’s a shame they never made any follow on movies ….

Rip.

Yeah it's getting to the point where famous people who were middle aged when I was young are passing.

A lot are quite young compared the what we hear average life expectancy is.

will never forget going to the cinema to watch jurassic park at 11 years old, very sad to read that he died. RIP

Rubbish! This one hit me right in the feels. Damn.

My favourite roles of his were Borodin in The Hunt For Red October: "I think I may need two wives", and Weir in Event Horizon.
