Samsung 48"h6400 Calibration settings

Im not sure what the issue is to be honest. Im changing my Android box for sure and getting the 2 bay Qnap NAS that has HDMI. It has android and linux. I think its there newer model 263 or 268. And im deffo going to get the screen looked into
But when you stream from your new nas to your main pc across your network will your main pc then stutter?
Seems to me your just throwing money at the problem without nailing down where the problems lies.

I think the problem lies with the Full set up to be honest the TV. and the network. Well the NAS wont stream to my main pc i be using the NAS like a home theatre pc plugged into my tv via the HDMI. Im not throwing money at the issue it was something i was looking at anyways instead of doing all the work via my network share

I watched Spectra last night on the tv and the film had slight judder. The pic was very clear it was a 1080 remux and looked ok. But i think it could have looked better. It looked to good if you know what i mean it looked like a drama instead of a james bond film. So i know it needs setting up properly. I work away month on month off on the Rigs so when im home im to bloody tired and catching up with the wife and kids i forget to do other things LOL. So it be money well spent knowing it be done properly

Looking at there prices £250 and thats without 3D Either sorry but thats stupid money. Most id go up to is £200 and to do the 3D aswell. And then that's expensive. Should not be paying over the earth just to do a few settings lolol
That's like describing what an architect does as "making a few sketches". Sorry, but your ignorance of what's involved doesn't somehow justify your price expectation.

Have you tried HDTVtest? Says you'll get a free quote.

lmao

calibrators first of all especially pro's that run a website like HDTV test use sensors which can cost up to £5,000+ to calibrate tv's

that's like saying i'm not going to pay a professional photographer thousands of pound to take simply take a few snaps when I can use a polaroid camera. A professional photographer like the one I hired for my wedding had something like 3-5 SLR's so he didn't need to swap lenses. That's you know easily £10K+ worth of equipment your hiring for a few hours/days.

second of all this is someone who is an expert at something. not just some random joe like yourself messing around with stuff he has no clue about. that kind of expertise costs money.

thirdly it takes several hours to calibrate a tv. he won't simply show up and tweak a couple of settings then leave. he will be properly calibrating it for hours. time costs money when a mechanic spends 3-5 hours on your car how much does he normally charge in labour?

you clearly don't know much about proper calibration or tv's if you think it's easy or not worth spending money on. i too used to think it was expensive. the reality is if you have the money it's definitely worth doing.

it's clear though by the fact your flaunting the fact you download illegal torrents that you don't like paying for stuff. so proper calibration isn't for you.

I pay for stuff. I don't mind paying. Your right i don't know what is involved. And for your information i have booked in with HDtest to get both TV's done. Like i mentioned by the above its something that needed doing. And for me that download illegal torrents thats my business nobody elses. I bet people don't moan when there streaming free content like films exc on kodi. And watching free sport instead of paying for sky. Does that make them greedy?

Just had a call from HDtest. They had to cancel they said due to my area they did not have anyone to cover me. So i rang Displaycalibration.co.uk. The gent i spoke to was called jules really friendly and said he could do both TV'S for £350 that includes travel cost which i think is a great price. Hes doing it Tuesday for me

if you can with the best camera and media you have take a few before and after pictures? simply pause the screen bang on say 10 minutes, 15 minutes and 20 minutes and take a picture before and after the calibration.

maybe with a mini review.

i would suggest using a real blu ray and a blu ray player if you can.

£350 for 2 tv's is probably a steal. most people pay £200-£300 for 1 tv but since it's 2 of the same tv in the same house i knew they would offer a good deal.

Taking photos of it will show you nothing. You wont see what you'll see in person. The camera has to be calibrated, the monitor it was used on and your own monitor has to be calibrated before you could see what difference it has made.

There is a great post in the review for this TV on Amazon that has recommended settings, also one on avforums.

Is this the review from the guy who has a big rant says anybody knows movie mode is always rubbish? I know everybody is different but if it is him he likes a pretty vivid picture, at least for me.

I copied from AV Forums and tweaked a bit, the colours etc look pretty realistic to me, must have gotten lucky.
