the performance increase wont be great though between the 840 - 850 on SATA as its pretty much saturated already.

M.2 or SATAe hmmmmmm that will be worth a look. I cant help but wonder if any of the X99 stuff will have more than one M.2 slot?

(Although it might be worth waiting for the 10 Gbit/s models rumored to be making an appearance in Q4)

Given that this 850 Pro's warranty trumps everybody elses, I'm happy to say yes. That warranty says a lot in how confident Samsung are about how reliable these drives are. :cool:

In terms of day to day performance? Not a chance. I couldn't notice a difference between an ancient Intel X25-M and a Samsung 840 Pro which are several generations apart, so noticing the miniscule difference between this and other similar SSDs is not going to happen.
