Samsung 990 pro real world performance

I'm currently setting up my new (other than GPU) system from the BF sales including a 990 Pro 2TB:

Random write is really bad, but I did notice that changing the number of threads (only random write changed) had an impact, but still well below advertised.

The drive is currently on 'Standard Mode', Win10 is fresh install with default power settings. Only drive in the system.

Specs: 8600G (6 core /12 thread), 32GB, MSI X670E Carbon, 7900XT.
 
So i swapped my drives around. 990 Pro is on the CPU and SN850 is on the chipset.

It must be a limit of the chipset slot as the 990 is near advertised speeds (IOS still a bit low though) and the speed of the SN850 has dropped.
