Samsung Ecogreen 2TB not showing in Disk Management

I've got a new Samsung Ecogreen 2TB from Overclockers lately and it's got this issue of not showing up in Windows properly.

It doesn't see the drive in My Computer nor in Disk Management.

BIOS, Intel Rapid Storage and Device Manager all see the drive correctly.

Is this a widely known issue and should I update the firmware or try to format it from the DOS level (if that's at all possible)?

I just came in here to ask about the exact same problem, only mine is a 1TB drive.

Reading your post made me go to the 'disk management' program and I could see my drive, format it, and see it in my computer at last So thank you for your in-direct help!
