Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

I can get it to £580 for a basic 256Gb S24 on the Totum store using S24SAVE, sell the watch for £200, making it £380

You might be planning to on selling your existing phone to further reduce the upgrade cost

Still not got the £50 code... If anyone has one they are not going to use, please PM... Will finally put the order through as soon as get one :D

S24U 512GB Titanium Grey ordered for £411 with S23U trade in, along with the freebies, watch, strap, screen protector, case, think Disney as well?

Delivery due 2nd Feb.

Thank you @dayloon

Managed to contact support to get the code they incorrectly sent which didn't include the free case/protector for one that did. So going to try put in an order using the Quidco bonus. I've decided on the 512GB Ultra in the end, I was considering 1TB but decided it probably wasn't worth the extra. I have 512GB at the moment, after checking my storage of that (can't say I've really managed it at all, just left it how it is), it's at around 400GB/500GB, and that's with a lot of random games and rubbish that I no longer play anyway. So don't think I'll need any more.

Admittedly I used the student/work portal so we'll see if Samsung accepts the cashback, eitherway the discount from the portal outweighs the cashback. I checked around and there seems to be mixed reports of it working, some people said they have got cashback to work through portals multiple times with no issue, others said they got rejected. So worth a try...

Decided not to upgrade my S22U this time, although it was very tempting! I have a £50 code if anyone would like it, first PM first served.
Edit: now gone.

How do you combine Quidco and EPP/student portals?

How do you combine Quidco and EPP/student portals?
Open up the EPP/student portal via whichever method you use, ie a link at perks at work/totum/unidays or whatever, doing that adds some kind of session data to keep your access to the portal without needing a specific email or account, I added the phone/codes/logged into my account and so on at this point too. Following that copy the url excluding the affiliate part (ie https://www.samsung.com/uk/multistore/uk_student for the student portal) and then head over to Quidco/TCB. On the samsung tcb or quidco page click through to get cashback, once it's loaded the samsung shop main page it redirects you to, you can paste in the URL you got before taking you back to the portal, if you have the tcb/quidco extension it should say it's still tracking - at least it did for me. Head to the basket if you already added everything before and it should track a bit after you've paid.

As always make sure you turn off adblockers or anything that blocks tracking, as it might affect it tracking.

Sooo looks like the S24 Ultra doesn't quite beat the Redmagic 9 Pro in geekbench!

Would have thought the 24 Ultra with its Snapdragon "for Galaxy" version of the SoC would have been on top, even if by a little, not the other way round :o

When I was looking into it I think the best you can get for the S24 512GB is around £910ish through the portal(plus any cashback if it gets accepted). Unless you have a working birthday code I guess. Without portal access you can get to £922 through the app with the app code, a referral code, the pre-register £50 and s24save code. If you're wanting to gamble cash back you'd have to go through the site and ommit the 5% app discount code I think? If the cashback is successful you're probably a bit better off, but it is a gamble.

Yey, I was finally able to get a code via the online chat, 1tb Titanium Grey ordered, with watch, strap, case and screen protectors. Total price in the end £496 with the S23U trade in. And i should hopefully get another 8% back via wowpoints.

I don't think the S23U was top of its class either even though it was made for Galaxy, still performed great though.
Android Addicts does a monthly update test after a new software update to test against previous software versions which is interesting.
