Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

Does anyone know if we're likely to see Android 4.0 on the tab 10.1?
Are the tablets part of that initiative that Google announced at their I/O forum?

Ice Cream Sandwich is supposed to unify the tablet (3.x) and phone (2.x) operating systems. So we should see it on tablets. It is due to appear in Q4. Given that manufactures have signed up to give timely Android updates I see no reason why we should not see it on the 10.1. But having said that we may see it much later because Samsung will have to do something with TouchWiz. It's impossible to say much more at this time.

Yup, tablets and smartphones.

From I/O in May:

Initial partners include major Android-device manufacturers HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG. Also included are the big four U.S. carriers: Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. Rubin says that Google is open to as many more partners as want to join.

When did the Galaxy Tab get officially released? I would have thought it would have sat within that 18 month time frame...?

The 10.1 was officially released in the US at the beginning of June.

What cases are all you Tab users using?

Im hopefully gonna get a tab tonight/this weekend, and was hoping to find a case similar to my ipad one, but cant see any like it anywhere...

I use the official book cover case thing, but I do find that it increases the weight of the tab a fair bit. So when at home reading something whilst on the bed, I tend to remove the the case. Much more pleasant to hold then

I found the same. It now lives in the keyboard dock and the case is only used when it is on its travels.

Bought mine today, spent around an hour testing all the tablets in Currys today, finally went with the 32Gb wifi edition for 399 with the dock.

The store one seemed alittle more responsive than this one. Any apps you guys would recommend

Yes I did. They've omitted to say that the SD adapter is part of the kit. Both items are included.

Just got the HDMI adaptor kit for my Galaxy Tab 10.1.

I've tried 2 cables and 2 TVs - each time I get picture flickering every 4 to 10 seconds along with a simultaneous sound drop out.

This seems a common problem.

Does anybody have the HDMI adaptor working perfectly ?

Has anybody fixed the issue if they have had it ?

Any particular model I should be looking for, any major differences between White/Black 16/32gb?

Only appearance and memory size.

Think of getting one of these, although my mates just took his back because of the oil slick issue on screen .. Is this issue widespread or just a few select cases ?

It will be few and far between so don't let it stop you from buying one.

Nothing at present but I would expect to see it fairly soon after we see the Galaxy Nexus.

This is the problem I'm finding :/ I currently have a ROM that isn't listed on Samfirmware, probably because of the vodafone branding. Does anyone have a non network provided UK 3g 10.1 and able to furnish me with the baseband version version? Mine is currently P7500XXKG3, so if I can grab a stock 3G ROM then I might go ahead and root this thing

[edit] looks like Im confusing the Baseband as you mentioned and the Bootloader. My Bootloader is p7500BUKG3 and the baseband is p7500BUKG3, for which there is a xxKG7 ROM on Samfirmware!
